Preparation

You will need:

- A smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth 5.0 or later. - The latest version of our app, downloadable via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. - A SwitchBot account, you can register via our app or sign in to your account directly if you already have one.

Doorbell

Install the Doorbell in a location shielded from direct rain or snow. Use a waterproof cover if necessary. - Avoid installation in environments with extreme temperatures. Refer to the product's operating temperature range. - Securely mount the Doorbell to prevent vibrations or accidental detachment. - Regularly clean the camera lens and microphone with a soft, dry cloth to maintain video and audio quality. - Install the Doorbell in compliance with privacy laws, avoiding direct views into neighboring properties.

Monitor

Position the monitor in an accessible location, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent overheating or glare. - Ensure stable power connections. - Check for Wi-Fi or connection signals. Avoid placement near walls or devices that cause interference. - Clean the screen with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches and smudges. Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals. - It is recommended that you replace the SD card once a year and regularly back up and store important data on a PC or other media.

Initial Setting

1. Add your Smart Video Doorbell to the SwitchBot app.

Open our app, tap the +icon located at the right-hand corner of the home page, select Add Device. Then, follow the instructions to add your device.

2. Charge your Doorbell.

Open the rubber seal on the Type-C charging port at the bottom of your Doorbell. Plug into a power source with the USB cable that came with your device.

Use an adapter with an output of at least 5V = 2A . The charging process from 0% to 100% takes approximately 6 hours. The indicator light will turn from red to green when fully charged.

Installation Precautions

1. It's recommended to position your device 1.2m to 1.5m (4 ft to 4.9 ft) off the ground. To get a better signal strength, please avoid installation on a metal door or surface.

2.Use the provided wall mounting kit and corner kit to angle your device properly and avoid unwanted motion events.

3. Ensure your Doorbell's camera is not directed at light-colored walls, and keep it away from direct sunlight.

4. Leave at least 6 cm (2.4 in.) of clearance on the right side of your Doorbell for easy clamping and removal

5. To ensure a stable connectivity, keep an appropriate distance* between your Doorbell, Monitor, SwitchBot Lock devices, and the router.

According to our test data, the maximum connectivity distance between a Doorbell and Monitor is 100m (109 yd.) without obstacles.

Installing the Doorbell

1. Select a power source.

1 Built-in rechargeable battery

Solar Panel for Video Doorbell (sold separately)

Connect your Doorbell to a solar panel attached on your door or wall to get continuous power.

2. Select an installation location and confirm mounting method.

Method 1: Wall Mounting

a. Install the Metal Bracket.

Note: Consult with a professional driller if needed.

① Attach the Hole Marking Sticker (Monitor) on the wall and drill two holes. If similar products were previously installed, you can reuse existing screw holes.

② On stucco, brick, or concrete, use a 6 mm (1/4 in.) masonry bit to drill holes for the included wall anchors. Secure the Metal Bracket using the provided screws.

b. Mount the Monitor onto the bracket.

Remove the rear cover. Slide the Monitor from top down until it is firmly clamped.

Place the Monitor on the desktop and connect it to a socket.

Usage Instructions

1.Use with your SwitchBot Lock devices.

① Access the function page of your Video Doorbell and tap the lock icon. Pair your Video Doorbell with your SwitchBot Lock devices as instructed.

② Add an NFC card via the app to quickly unlock your SwitchBot Lock devices through your doorbell.

③ Unlock your SwitchBot Lock devices via the Monitor by pressing the O - button.

2. Monitor

Press to check live view. Press to replay event videos. Delete event videos if you need to clear storage. Press and to start or stop a real-time video call with visitors through the microphone.

Note: A call has a maximum duration of 2 minutes and will automatically end when exceeded.

Restoring Factory Settings

Poke the ejection pin into the Reset Hole on the Monitor for 3 seconds. The Monitor will restore to factory settings and enter pairing mode.

Updating Firmware

In order to improve user experience, we will regularly release firmware updates to introduce new functions and solve any software defects that may occur during usage. When a new firmware version is available, we will send an upgrade notification to your account via our app. When upgrading, please make sure your product has sufficient battery or stay powered on and make sure your smartphone is within range to prevent interference.

Q1: What should I do when the device can't connect to the network?

- Delete and re-add the device in the app, or reset the device's Wi-Fi and follow the setup instructions. - Ensure the device connects only to 802.11b/g/n, 2.4GHz, IPV4 wireless networks. - Ensure the distance between the router and the Doorbell or Monitor is within 100m . - If your router uses a physical address whitelist, add the Monitor's physical address to the whitelist or disable the feature.

Q2: Why doesn't an image appear on the Monitor when the doorbell is pressed or buttons are used?

- The distance between the router and the Doorbell or Monitor may be too far. In open, unobstructed environments, the maximum transmission distance is 100m , but obstacles such as walls can significantly reduce this range.

Q3: Why is there no sound or low volume from the Doorbell or Monitor?

- Adjust the volume settings for both units in the app. - Ensure the microphone hole on the devices are not blocked by tape or other objects.

Q4: What should I do when the Doorbell triggers frequent false alarms?

- Avoid direct sunlight to the Doorbell's motion detection sensor. - Do not face your Doorbell to glass, mirrors, or complex traffic roads. - Keep the Doorbell's camera away from heat sources or wireless devices that could interfere with connectivity.

Q5: Why is the Doorbell's battery life shorter than expected?

- Ensure the battery is fully charged (for at least six hours). - Frequent event alarms will drain the battery sooner. To prevent excessive activity notifications, adjust your Motion Settings to a lower sensitivity.

- Adjust the installation position and angle to prevent strong light from directly hitting the lens. - Use the included angle kit to make horizontal adjustments (up to 15° ).
